The works are intended to improve the condition and structural integrity of the affected road section.

Waiyaki Way is an important transport corridor connecting parts of Nairobi’s central business district, Westlands and areas farther west. It is used daily by private motorists, public service vehicles, commercial transport operators and commuters travelling for work, education and business.

Road maintenance can affect traffic flow, particularly where lanes are restricted on busy urban highways. Motorists using the affected section may therefore need to allow additional time for their journeys and plan their movements around possible delays.

KeNHA has advised motorists to use the remaining open lanes and consider alternative routes where appropriate. Drivers are also expected to follow traffic signs and instructions from traffic police officers and marshals deployed to manage traffic.

The authority has indicated that normal traffic operations are expected to resume after the scheduled maintenance works are completed. However, road users should continue to monitor official announcements for any changes to the work schedule or traffic arrangements.

The planned closure highlights the need to balance the maintenance of important transport infrastructure with the daily movement of people and goods across Nairobi.

Motorists travelling towards Westlands, the Museum Hill Interchange and connecting routes should check traffic updates before departure, especially during peak commuting hours.

BY:GRACE KYALO The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary partial closure affecting…

[1

post-110","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
