He argued that these measures could ease the financial pressure on households and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sifuna said his administration would seek to achieve a balanced national budget within 15 months through expenditure reviews and changes to government spending priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the education sector, he proposed establishing a national database of schools to improve oversight of public resources and strengthen accountability in the management of education funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also pledged to ensure that hospitals are paid for services rendered within 30 days, arguing that timely payments would help healthcare facilities operate more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposals come as political leaders increasingly outline their economic priorities ahead of the 2027 elections.
