Man Dies After Tiger Attack at UK Wildlife Park

A man has died after being attacked by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in northern England, police have confirmed.
South Yorkshire Police said emergency services were called to the wildlife park near Doncaster at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, after reports that a man had entered the tiger enclosure.
According to police, the tiger attacked the man, leaving him with serious injuries. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident prompted the evacuation of the park as emergency teams responded. Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, an air ambulance and a doctor to the scene.
Police confirmed that the tiger was not injured and remained inside the enclosure. They also said there was no wider threat to the public following the incident.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park said its emergency response procedures were activated immediately and that it was working closely with authorities to establish what had happened.
The park, which opened in 2009, is home to the Land of the Tigers attraction, a two-acre reserve designed for Amur tigers, also known as Siberian tigers. The attraction allows visitors to observe the animals from a raised walkway.
Police have urged members of the public not to share distressing footage of the incident circulating on social media.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are ongoing.
