Two suspects linked to a vehicle break-in in Ngurubani town, Kirinyaga County, are being held by police as detectives continue investigating the incident.
The suspects, identified as Vincent Juma Ranguma and Rosalid Wangari Mwihaki, were arrested in Ruiru following investigations by detectives from Mwea East Sub-County.
The incident came to the attention of investigators after CCTV footage captured two people allegedly breaking into a vehicle parked near a hotel in Ngurubani.
Following the arrests, Wang’uru Law Court granted detectives seven days to detain the suspects at Wang’uru Police Station as they gather more information about the case.
The additional detention period will allow investigators to continue examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish the suspects’ alleged involvement.
The two remain suspects as investigations continue, and their arrest does not amount to a finding of guilt.
