President William Ruto has pledged 250 million shillings towards the completion of Kongasis Teachers Training College in Churo, Tiaty Constituency, Baringo County.

Speaking during his visit to the area, Ruto said the funds would support the completion of the institution. He also announced plans to construct student hostels to provide accommodation for learners.

The President inspected the ongoing construction of the college while accompanied by several leaders.

Ruto also urged parents, particularly those in pastoralist communities, to ensure their children attend school and benefit from educational opportunities provided by the government.

He cited the 784-billion-shilling education budget for the current financial year, calling on families to take advantage of the available support to improve access to education.

The construction of the college is expected to expand access to teacher training in the region.
